Viura (also known as Macabeo in other parts of Spain) is a crisp, aromatic white grape variety. Here it's sourced from organic Spanish vineyards, vinified conventionally, then dealcoholised to 0.25% ABV. The colour is a polished green straw. The nose is pronounced and fresh - passionfruit and citrus lead, with some green apple underneath. On the palate there's ripe mango and passionfruit alongside the apple and citrus, with a light elderflower note and a herbaceous thread that runs through to the finish. The mouthfeel is clean and moderately textured. It's more tropical than a lot of alcohol-free whites, which tend to lean citrus-heavy, and that makes it slightly more interesting as a standalone drink.
