Atopia Spiced Citrus is made by Lesley Gracie, the distiller behind Hendrick's Gin. The base is a natural distillate of orange, juniper, coriander, angelica root and lemon, with spice extracts and wormwood added in. The six-week production process sets it apart from spirits that are simply blended from concentrates. The nose is citrus-forward, orange and lemon peel with juniper underneath. On the palate the citrus stays central, with warming spice building through the mid-palate. Cinnamon comes through without dominating. The finish is smooth and rounded, with citrus lingering alongside a gentle spiced warmth. It works in the same contexts as a gin, long with tonic or over ice. The 0.5% ABV puts it in the ultra-low category rather than fully alcohol-free.
