Sauvignon Blanc
Dealcoholised Sauvignon Blanc from Reh Kendermann in Germany, with green apple and mild citrus, lightly carbonated to keep things fresh.
About This Drink
Same producer and process as the rest of the Studio Zero range: Reh Kendermann dealcoholise the base wine then add back invert sugar syrup, natural flavourings, and a bit of CO2. That CO2 addition is worth noting here, because it prevents the flatness that can make dealcoholised whites feel limp. It pours pale straw with fine, light carbonation. The nose is delicate: green apple, a bit of white grape, and some faint floral notes. The Sauvignon Blanc character is there but quieter than you'd find in an alcoholic version. On the palate the sweetness from the added sugar rounds out the profile, giving it a slightly fuller body than the variety would typically suggest. Acidity is moderate and the overall impression is clean rather than complex. At 20 calories per 100ml it's the lightest in the range. Straightforward drinking for a warm afternoon or alongside light food.
