Highland Bothy
A non-alcoholic whisky alternative made with Scottish barley malt and aged whisky barrel distillates, smoother and creamier than the Glen Dochus botanical blends.
About This Drink
Highland Bothy predates the Glen Dochus range and comes from the same Scottish producer. Where the Glen Dochus blends use botanical extracts, Highland Bothy is made with Scottish barley malt and aged whisky barrel distillates, which gives it a slightly different character and a more earthy depth. It is the lighter, smoother of the two Dochus expressions. The nose is distinctly aromatic. Floral notes and light salted caramel open things up, followed by sharp green apple and a touch of juicy citrus. On the palate, a full, creamy texture arrives first, giving way to grilled orange and sweet biscuit. The finish is long and sweet, with apricot, warm wood and lingering hints of brandy cask. At 7 calories per 100ml, it sits among the lower-calorie options in the AF spirits category.
