About This Drink

Fiery Ginger is the canned version of the Equinox ginger line, and it differs from the bottled Ginger in one important respect: it has been lightly pasteurised, with Bacillus Subtilis probiotic cultures added back after processing. The base is organic Chun-Mee green tea kombucha; the ginger character comes from both ginger root and natural ginger flavour, giving it a more assertive heat than standard ginger-flavoured soft drinks. The carbonation is consistent and light. On the palate the ginger hits first: sharp, peppery, with a noticeable warmth that builds through the mid-palate. The kombucha acidity sits underneath and sharpens the finish. It is dry for a kombucha, with very little sweetness. Good served cold without ice. Works in a Dark & Stormy if you want a non-alcoholic version.
