Sicilian Orange & Yuzu uses Sicilian orange juice as its fruit base, then adds yuzu for a more layered result. Yuzu is a Japanese citrus that sits somewhere between grapefruit and mandarin: it has a perfumed, slightly floral quality and a brightness that plain orange juice cannot replicate. Carrot juice concentrate deepens the colour. The aroma is orange-forward with the yuzu's aromatic character sitting above it. On the palate the orange juice is juicy and rounded, with the kombucha acidity cutting through the fruit sweetness cleanly. At 20 calories per 100ml it is slightly richer than some of the other flavours, reflecting the fruit juice content. Works as a morning drink alongside a meal, or chilled on its own. The yuzu adds something worth noticing.
