About This Drink
Stripped Craft takes a different route to zero alcohol than most beers in this range. Rather than fully fermenting and then removing the alcohol, Nøgne Ø stop fermentation early, which keeps the beer mild and preserves the fresh hop character. Lime juice and zest go in afterwards, making citrus the dominant note from first pour to last sip. The aroma is zesty and bright: pine and grapefruit from the US hops, with caramelised orange and a touch of lime peel. The palate follows through with grapefruit, lime and lemon up front, a softness from wheat and pale malt in the middle, and a lactic-like sourness that builds gradually as you drink. It finishes floral, short, with a light zesty bitterness. The mouthfeel is gentle and medium-bodied without any creaminess. It's a simple beer that does what it sets out to do: light, citrus-forward, with a finish that doesn't linger.
