GUTsy Captain Summer Lemonade uses a slightly different base to the core range: naturally fermented green tea with added carbon dioxide, which gives it a brisker fizz than the still-carbonated variants. The natural lemon flavour is the dominant note throughout, making it the most approachable drink in the range. The pour is pale straw-gold with an active, lively fizz. On the nose the lemon is clean and bright, with very little fermented complexity by comparison with some of the other variants. On the palate the lemon is the dominant note, crisp and citrus-forward, supported by the fermented tea base with its mild tartness. The carbonation gives it a sharper mouthfeel. The finish is short and clean with a lingering citrus brightness. It is a limited edition product. Of the GUTsy Captain range, it is probably the least challenging flavour profile, which is not a criticism.
