About This Drink
Carl Jung Cuvée Rot is a multi-grape red blend sourced from the Rheingau, dealcoholised using the brand's vacuum extraction method. The loess and clay soils of the region give the wine a mineral quality that comes through alongside the fruit character. It pours a brilliant ruby red. The nose is generous: blackberry and dark cherry up front, followed by chocolate and a faint vanilla sweetness. On the palate it is soft and fruit-forward, with a body that is more substantial than many alcohol-free reds. The mineral quality asserts itself in the finish, pulling back against the sweeter fruit. Among the Carl Jung red range, this is the most rounded. The blend gives it more complexity than the single-varietal wines, and the Rheingau origin shows in the structure.
