About This Drink
Carl Jung Mousseux Riesling is a sparkling dealcoholised wine made from Riesling grapes grown in the Rhine region. Riesling from that part of Germany carries a natural vibrancy and aromatic intensity, and the brand's low-temperature vacuum process is designed to keep as much of that character intact through dealcoholisation as possible. The wine is pale straw with a lively bead. On the nose it shows green apple, lemon and a shimmer of citrus. The palate has the fresh, harmonious acidity typical of Riesling, with apple and citrus fruit in balance with a good underlying structure. The finish is longer than most of the Carl Jung sparkling range, with an aromatic quality that lingers. Among the Carl Jung sparklings, this is the most interesting. The Riesling variety has enough character that it comes through even after dealcoholisation.
