About This Drink
Free Damm Tostada uses a darker malt bill than the standard Free Damm, pulling the flavour profile into roastier territory. The same vacuum distillation process brings it to 0.0% ABV, but at 19 IBU and a higher EBC it pours reddish amber with garnet highlights rather than the pale gold of the core lager. The aroma leads with coffee, cocoa and a warm hint of caramel, with a lighter herbal note underneath. On the palate the toasted cereal character comes through clearly: there's a gentle sweetness, a touch of roast, and a herbal hop freshness that keeps it from getting cloying. The body is noticeably fuller than a pale lager, with smooth carbonation and a dry, subtly bitter close. For those who find most 0.0% lagers too thin, Tostada is a worthwhile step up in body and complexity. It sits between a pale lager and a dark ale in terms of weight, which makes it a decent all-rounder for cooler months.
