Energibajer is Mikkeller's 0.0% wheat beer with a functional twist: B2, B5, and B12 have been added to the grain bill. The Danish name loosely translates as "energy beer", nodding toward a positioning as something you can drink after sport or exercise. That said, it works as a regular beer too. It pours a slightly hazy light gold. The aroma opens with lemon and pine from the hops, which shift to mango and lychee as the beer warms. The palate follows that same trajectory: mango and lychee are the lead fruit notes, supported by a light caramel malt sweetness, with lemon coming through on the swallow. Carbonation is lively, giving the whole thing an energetic feel that suits the name. The bitterness builds over time, becoming more assertive toward the bottom of the can. Best drunk cold to keep everything in balance.
