About This Drink
Paulaner makes two non-alcoholic wheat beers. This is the one for anyone who needs certainty: unlike the Hefe-Weißbier Non-Alcoholic, which sits under 0.5%, the Weissbier 0,0% goes through a more involved dealcoholisation process under controlled temperature and pressure to bring it to a confirmed 0.0%. The pour is hazy and pale gold with a white head. Banana and clove come through clearly on the nose alongside a light biscuit sweetness. On the palate it's a touch lighter in body than the older non-alcoholic version, but the hefeweizen character is still recognisable: fruity, gently spiced, and clean through the finish. The finish itself is soft, fading without any abrupt bitterness. At 24 kcal per 100ml it's also isotonic. If the distinction between under 0.5% and genuinely 0.0% matters to you, this is the one to go for.
