Phantasm

A 0.5% IPA from Brass Castle's North Yorkshire brewery, built on Mosaic and El Dorado hops with a softened oat body and a clean, dry finish.

About This Drink

Phantasm uses two of the more expressive hops in modern brewing. Mosaic brings layered tropical and floral character; El Dorado adds stone fruit and citrus peel. Together they make for a genuinely aromatic beer - orange blossom and mango on the nose, with citrus up front on the palate and a building bitterness that settles into a dry, clean close. The oats do real work here. Without them, a hop-heavy AF IPA at 0.5% can turn sharp or thin. Instead, the body is rounded enough that the bitterness lands as intended rather than feeling harsh. The balance between fruit and bitterness is well-judged. Like all Brass Castle beers, it's certified gluten-free and vegan.
