Trail Pass IPA
Non-alcoholic West Coast-leaning IPA built with Amarillo, Cascade and CTZ hops, brewed without dealcoholisation at 35 IBUs.
About This Drink
Trail Pass IPA is the most classically bitter entry in Sierra Nevada's non-alcoholic range. Amarillo, Cascade, Bravo and CTZ hops build the aroma: grapefruit peel, orange zest, pine resin. The malt base is drier than in the Hazy, which gives the bitterness room to register without anything sweetening it into submission. At 35 IBUs, it's properly hoppy without tipping into aggressive territory. Like the rest of the Trail Pass lineup, it's brewed conventionally to land below 0.5% ABV from the start. No alcohol stripped out. The finish is crisp and relatively dry, and the hop oils stay intact in a way that dealcoholised IPAs sometimes struggle to preserve. The standard for non-alcoholic IPAs has risen sharply in the last few years, and this sits comfortably in the upper half of the category.
