About This Drink
Konx took a year to develop. Omnipollo brewed it at De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium, hopping it at a rate equal to their full-strength IPAs and pairing that with an expressive yeast blend. The result is a non-alcoholic pale ale that doesn't sit comfortably in the safe, approachable lane. The aroma is the first thing that catches you off guard: malt vinegar and black pepper lead, which is an acquired starting point. Grapefruit and pineapple are there underneath once you settle in. On the palate pale malt and wheat form the base, with citrus fruit emerging through the mid-palate. The finish is dry and acidic. At 33 calories per 100ml and 7.7g carbohydrates, it's on the denser end for an AF beer. Not a beer for everyone. The vinegary, peppery character will divide opinion sharply. But for those who want something genuinely complex rather than polite, Konx rewards patience.
