About This Drink
Maz Non-Alcoholic takes Omnipollo's Maz Oat Pale Ale recipe and removes almost all the alcohol, landing at 0.3% ABV. It's brewed at De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium and keeps the focus on hop character and drinkability. The grain bill of barley malt, wheat malt and oats gives the beer a softer, slightly fuller body than a straight pale ale typically produces. The oat addition is noticeable in the mouthfeel, which is smooth and easy. The hops provide a clean bitterness and some hop aroma without pushing into IPA territory. At 30 calories per 100ml with 1.4g carbohydrates, it's a light option. Straightforward and well-executed. A solid everyday non-alcoholic pale ale that doesn't ask much of you.
