Insel Brauerei uses its own Hiddenseer beer base and mixes it with a lemon drink that includes juice from concentrate and lemon peel distillate. The result sits at under 0.5% ABV and 28 calories per 100ml. The pour is pale golden and clear with gentle fizz. Lemon is upfront on the nose with a light sweetness behind it. On the palate, lemon leads and fades into a faint grain note from the beer portion. At 4.8g of sugar per 100ml, it sits on the lighter end for the style without tasting watery. The finish is clean and citrus-fresh with a short sweet fade. Straightforward stuff, no surprises.
