Lowtide teamed up with Electric Bear Brewing Co, a Bristol craft brewery, for this pale ale. The hop choice of Citra, Mosaic and Idaho 7 is a reliable combination for fruit-forward pales: Citra and Mosaic bring citrus and tropical fruit, while Idaho 7 adds its distinctive apricot and papaya character that gives this one a slightly different angle to the other hoppy beers in the Lowtide range. The aroma leads with peach and citrus, with a tropical underpinning from the Mosaic. The bitterness is accessible rather than assertive, with the hop flavour carrying well through the middle of the palate. Pale golden with good clarity. At 19 kcal per 100ml it sits in a similar bracket to the Wild Juice Chase. Light and clean with a crisp, citrusy finish.
