About This Drink
Stoker's Extra Smooth takes the same base recipe as JumpShip's award-winning oatmeal stout, barley, oats, cacao, and vanilla, and runs it through a nitrogen carbonation system instead of CO2. It's not a reformulation; it's a different drinking experience built from identical ingredients. Pour it hard into the glass and you get a dramatic cascade that settles into a jet-black body with a thick, tan head that sits well past when you'd expect it to disappear. The aroma is roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and vanilla, much like the standard Stoker's. What changes is the texture. Nitrogen bubbles are finer than CO2, and the result is a silkier, fuller mouthfeel that makes the espresso and cocoa flavours feel richer. The finish is dry, coffee-forward, and clean. If you've had the original and liked it, this is worth trying alongside for comparison. If you're new to the range and are choosing between the two, the nitro version is the more indulgent of the pair.
