About This Drink
Fre Moscato is made from Muscat grapes grown in California's warmer inland valleys, where the variety develops its characteristic floral intensity. After fermentation and dealcoholisation via spinning cone, the wine drops below 0.5% ABV. The higher juice content relative to other wines in the Fre range contributes to the noticeable sweetness and weight. The nose is fragrant and unmistakably Muscat: rose petals and ripe peach with stone fruit behind. On the palate the sweetness sits right at the front and stays there, with creamy peach carrying through to a soft, lingering close. There is no sharp acidity to cut through, so this is clearly a sweet style. Goes well with spiced Asian food where the sugar balances heat, or alongside fruit desserts and mild soft cheeses.
