Bavaria 0.0% Pomegranate takes the same alcohol-free malt base as the rest of the range and blends pomegranate flavouring into it. It pours a deep rose-red, which makes it look noticeably different from the other variants in the lineup. Pomegranate's characteristic tart-sweet berry character comes through clearly on the nose: fruit-forward with a touch of astringency. On the palate it's the most assertive of the Bavaria flavoured drinks: tangy and slightly grippy, with the malt base softening the edges and contributing a sweetness that balances the tartness. It has more going on than the peach or strawberry variants, which sit closer to straight-up sweetness. The finish is medium-length, with fruit tartness fading into a gentle malt sweetness. A good option if you want something fruity with a bit more depth. Serve well-chilled.
