Smoky Agave sits at the bold end of Giffard's Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Base range. It's built on agave syrup with natural smoky and chilli flavourings and pours ash white, a visual cue that this isn't a straightforward fruit base. The nose is quiet but distinctive. Wet soil and smoky notes emerge gradually, without the sharp, synthetic edge that badly made smoke flavourings tend to carry. On the palate it opens with aromatic complexity: wild pepper leads into a mild, rounded smokiness alongside herbaceous nuances. The finish is long and soft, staying earthy without turning harsh. At 15kcal per 100ml it's the lightest option in the range by a margin. Good citrus sharpens it up and the agave sweetness handles itself, so Margarita and Paloma-style builds are where it makes most sense.
