A collaboration between Sentia and Bristol's Wiper and True, this does what you'd expect from both parties: a proper dark beer that also carries Sentia's functional botanical blend. The stout brings roasted grain, dark chocolate, and coffee on the nose; the botanicals add an earthy herbal note that sits underneath without dominating. On the palate the roasted character leads, with cocoa and coffee the primary flavours and a soft fruitiness in the background. The body is lighter than a traditional stout, which keeps it from being heavy-going, and the carbonation is lively enough to keep things moving. The finish is clean and roasty with a herbal tail from the botanical infusion. At 0.5% it sits at the low end of the alcohol spectrum rather than being fully alcohol-free, which is worth knowing if that matters to you.
