About This Drink
The Spritz has become one of those drinks that's hard to avoid in Italy between six and eight in the evening. Galvanina's version removes the alcohol and keeps the bittersweet aperitivo character. The flavour comes from natural citrus and wormwood, with organic cane sugar providing the sweetness that holds the bitterness in check. Safflower and wine-derived natural flavours add some depth; black carrot juice gives the drink its amber-orange colour. It works as a proper aperitivo-style drink rather than a sweetened soda. There's real herbal bitterness in there, lingering on the finish alongside dried citrus peel. The carbonation is firm and lively, which helps it feel like something you'd actually drink from a large wine glass rather than a can. At 44 calories per 100ml it's a little more substantial than the Bellini in the same range. Comes in a 200ml bottle.
