It pours a deep ruby red. On the nose, black cherry and plum sit alongside earthy undertones and a faint oak note. The palate delivers ripe red and dark fruit with a violet lift and a touch of liquorice spice. Tannins are present but soft, and the finish is short and clean. It won't fool anyone for the real thing, but as a dealcoholised red it holds together better than most in this price range.
