About This Drink
Vinada's approach across their range is consistent: fully ferment the wine, then remove the alcohol through vacuum extraction at low temperature, capturing the aromas and returning them to the bottle. The Crispy Chardonnay follows that same path, using Chardonnay grapes from southern France's Languedoc. In the glass it is pale straw with a lively stream of fine bubbles. The nose is fresh and uncomplicated: apple, ripe melon, and a clean citrus note. The palate follows through dry and bright, with a crisp acidity that keeps it from feeling thin. The finish is brisk and clean, without much length. It competes comfortably with other alcohol-free sparklers. The dryness is a genuine asset and the bubbles hold up reasonably well in the glass.
