About This Drink
The brewery behind this has been operating since 1846 in the town of Cieszyn, and the process for the non-alcoholic version follows the same route as the standard range: bottom-fermented in open wooden vats, hopped three times across the process to build layered bitterness. It pours clear pale gold with a clean, grassy hop aroma and a barley malt backdrop. On the palate there's genuine bitterness arriving early and carrying through, balanced by a mild cereal sweetness. The body is medium-light with lively carbonation. The finish is dry and moderately bitter, fading without a sugary tail. For a non-alcoholic lager it's more hop-forward than most, which makes it more interesting than the bland pale gold examples that make up most of the category.
