Trail Pass Golden sits at the lighter end of the Trail Pass range. It's a golden ale brewed conventionally to stay below 0.5% ABV, so no alcohol is removed after the fact. Bravo, Cascade and Centennial hops keep things bright without pushing bitterness far at just 15 IBUs. The appearance is a clear, shimmering gold with a white head. Floral hop notes and zesty citrus come through on the nose, with a softly herbal background. On the palate it's approachable and smooth: gentle malt sweetness, a light crispness from the hops, and a clean finish. Nothing demands your attention, and nothing should. It's the kind of beer you open without much thought and find yourself quite pleased with by the end.
