Trail Pass Hazy IPA
Non-alcoholic hazy IPA brewed with Mosaic and El Dorado hops, with a juicy tropical character and a soft, full mouthfeel at 40 IBUs.
About This Drink
Trail Pass Hazy IPA is built around Mosaic and El Dorado, two hop varieties chosen for their tropical, fruit-forward character. Sierra Nevada brews it conventionally to stay below 0.5% ABV rather than removing alcohol afterwards, which means the hop oils come through without the slightly stripped quality some dealcoholised beers carry. The pour is properly cloudy, hazy gold with a white head. On the nose: ripe mango, stone fruit, a hint of melon, with just enough resinous depth to signal there's hop substance here. The palate follows through with tropical citrus up front and a soft biscuit malt base underneath. At 40 IBUs the bitterness registers and tails off cleanly. The mouthfeel is fuller than you'd expect from an NA beer. It's one of the more convincing hazy IPAs in the non-alcoholic category.
