Can You Kazoo?
A 0.5% pale ale from East London's Pretty Decent Beer Co, using Idaho 7, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin to push the hop character towards tropical fruit and white wine.
About This Drink
Can You Kazoo? pours clear pale gold. The nose is tropical and citrus-forward: passionfruit, white grape, and a clean piney lift. Nelson Sauvin is the interesting choice here - it brings a distinctive white wine quality you don't often find in a pale ale at this ABV. On the palate, Idaho 7 adds stone fruit and papaya while Citra keeps the citrus peel bitterness in check. The malt base stays in the background, which is the right call. Finish is dry and moderately bitter, short and clean. Light to medium body with lively carbonation. It's a well-considered hop selection and it shows. A solid 0.5% pale from a brewery that clearly knows what it's doing with hops.
