About This Drink
Chug is built around Citra and El Dorado hops, which pull mango, passionfruit and grapefruit to the front with no apology. The malt base is pale and clean, using barley, wheat and oats to build a soft, pillowy body that carries the fruit without getting in the way. Fine carbonation keeps things lively without any sharpness. Mash Gang brews this to 0.5% from the start using specialist low-alcohol yeast, so there's no dealcoholisation stripping the hop character flat. What you get is a hazy pale gold pour that genuinely behaves like a well-made IPA. The finish is crisp and zesty with enough bitterness to land properly. If you're used to AF beers sitting in the session pale ale space and not quite getting there, Chug is a better bet than most.
