Zwei-Zero Sparkling Rosé
Dealcoholised sparkling rosé from the Leitz estate in Germany, made entirely from Pinot Noir, with strawberry and rose hip on the nose and fine bubbles through a clean dry finish.
About This Drink
Made entirely from Pinot Noir grown in Germany's Pfalz and Baden regions, this comes from the Leitz estate using the same method as the rest of the range: full fermentation, gentle vacuum distillation to remove the alcohol, then carbonation added to give it a sparkling character. In the glass it shows a delicate pale pink with fine, steady bubbles. The nose is all fresh red fruit: strawberry, cherry, and watermelon, with rose hip adding a floral lift and a lean mineral note underneath. On the palate the fruit is bright and direct, with balanced acidity and the carbonation providing good structure. It does not linger heavily; the finish is clean and dry. Of the dealcoholised sparkling rosés around, this one sits at the drier end. Versatile at the table.
