Notas de Agave draws on six botanicals, each distilled separately before blending. Prickly pear does most of the work on the nose: soft, watery and faintly sweet, with a quiet caramel note underneath and some herbal green from the damiana flower. The lime zest keeps it from sitting too flat. On the palate the prickly pear carries through, with agave adding a bit of earthy texture in the mid-palate. Vanilla smooths out the rougher edges, and lime sharpens things up toward the finish. The peppercorn brings a very quiet warmth rather than any real heat. Mouthfeel is light and clean throughout. It suits Paloma or Margarita-style builds well, where the lime and peppercorn have something to work against. On its own with sparkling water it's pleasant but a touch thin. Zero alcohol, zero calories, zero sugar.
