The citrus does real work here: there's genuine grapefruit bitterness on the finish rather than just a hint of fruit sweetness layered over the lager. It pours clear and pale gold. The aroma opens with fresh grapefruit pith, slightly sharp and a little floral. On the palate, the citrus zest is the main event, with a bitterness that sits comfortably without turning astringent. The lager base provides enough backbone to keep things in check, and the finish is clean and dry. At 22 calories per 100ml it's the highest-calorie of the four in the range, though still well below most mainstream alternatives. Vegan and gluten-free.
