With the guava version, the lager base stays in the background while tropical stone-fruit sweetness does most of the talking. It pours clear and pale gold. The nose is straightforwardly tropical, guava up front with just a trace of lager grain behind it. The palate follows suit: the guava comes across as fresh and rounded rather than synthetic candy, and the carbonation gives it enough zip to stop it feeling heavy. The finish is clean and dry.
