Bavaria 0.0% IPA is brewed at the Swinkels family brewery in Lieshout using the same low-temperature controlled fermentation used across the 0.0% range. Alcohol never forms during production, which is a different approach to the more common post-fermentation dealcoholisation route. It pours clear amber with orange hints and a modest white head. The aroma is the strongest suit here: there's real citrus on the nose, led by lemon zest and grapefruit peel, with a tropical undercurrent of mango. On the palate it's lighter than a full-strength IPA but the hop character is present and genuine. Lemon and grapefruit peel carry the flavour through the middle, with mango and tropical fruit softening the edges. Mouthfeel is clean and light with moderate carbonation. The finish is dry, with citrus peel and a low but real bitterness lasting briefly after the sip. A decent AF IPA that earns its category rather than just borrowing the name.
