Poolside is the biggest, most aggressive beer in the Big Drop range. The double dry-hopping with Azacca, Chinook, Mosaic and Motueka piles up tropical and citrus aromas in layers: pineapple and mango up front, pine and stone fruit underneath, herbal notes trailing. The hazy golden pour and full body both signal that this is trying to land in double IPA territory. On the palate the fruit flavours come through well and the bitterness is present without being harsh. For an AF beer attempting a style that's difficult to get right without alcohol, it holds up. Gluten-free and vegan-friendly. The one to reach for in the range if you want maximum hop character.
