About This Drink

Moritz has been brewing in Barcelona since 1856, and the 0,0 goes through a proper full fermentation before the alcohol is removed at low temperature and pressure. That approach tends to produce a cleaner, more rounded result than beers brewed to low ABV from the start. It pours golden with a white head. The aroma is restrained - mild cereal, a light fruitiness, with floral notes from the Saaz hops. On the palate it sits in medium-bodied territory, with gentle malt and a modest bitterness. The finish is where the Saaz character comes through most clearly, dry and faintly spicy. No added sugar, which is worth noting. It's a clean, uncomplicated lager - not going to challenge anyone, but it's honest about what it is.
