McGuigan Zero Sparkling is the fizz in the Zero range, dealcoholised using spinning cone technology at low temperatures. The result is a pale gold wine with fine bubbles and a nose built around green apple and pear, with a light citrus edge underneath. The palate is dry and crisp. The mousse is fine and persistent rather than aggressive, and the finish is clean without lingering sweetness. Context is limited here compared to the still wines in the range, but what's there is consistent with a well-made dealcoholised sparkling: it reads as wine rather than fizzy juice, which is the main thing. At under 0.05% ABV, vegan-friendly and gluten-free.
