McGuigan Zero Chardonnay is made using spinning cone technology, which removes the alcohol in stages at low temperatures. The process is the same across the Zero range, but the Chardonnay gets an extra dimension from the oak influence in the original wine, which carries through to the dealcoholised version. The colour is pale gold. On the nose there's white peach, apple and pear, with a soft vanilla and oak backdrop that sets it apart from the crisper whites in the range. The palate is smooth and rounded, built around stone fruit and honeydew melon, and the finish is clean and balanced rather than sharp. Vegan and gluten-free.
Ingredients
De-alcoholised wine (95%), grape juice concentrate, citric acid (E330), sulphites (E220, E224), ascorbic acid (E300), gum arabic (E414)
