Everything Except Pinot Noir
Dealcoholised Pinot Noir from South Australia. Medium ruby, with dark cherry and earthy notes, soft tannins, and a dry, short finish.
About This Drink
Made from South Australian grapes and dealcoholised through high vacuum low pressure distillation, which pulls the alcohol out at low temperatures to hold onto the fruit character. The result sits below 0.5% ABV. The nose is relatively open for a dealcoholised red: dark cherries, dried herbs, and a faint earthiness that gestures at the variety. On the palate there is soft red and dark berry fruit, no harsh tannins, and a gentle smoothness through the mid-palate. It finishes dry and briefly. Won't fool anyone who is pouring it alongside an actual Pinot Noir, but for a dealcoholised red it has more going on than most. Serve slightly below room temperature.
