Kaliber
Guinness's original alcohol-free lager, launched in 1986 and still going, with a malt-forward character that sits heavier than most pale AF lagers.

Kaliber has been around since 1986, which makes it one of the older alcohol-free beers in the UK market. It's brewed full-strength at St. James's Gate before the alcohol is removed, landing at 0.05% ABV. The colour is pale golden and clear, nothing dramatic. The flavour leans malt-heavy. There's caramel and a bit of toasted bread upfront, with a savoury undertone that can read as vegetal if you're paying attention. The body is fuller and slightly thicker than most AF lagers, which suits some drinkers and puts others off. Bitterness is mild and the finish is reasonably clean. It's a product of its era, made before the category got competitive, and it shows a little — but for a low-frills pub option when the alternative is sparkling water, it does the job.
