Chardonnay
A dealcoholised Chardonnay from Spain, made using spinning cone technology. Light-bodied with white peach, citrus, and a fresh floral note.
About This Drink
Bon Voyage's Chardonnay is sourced from Spain and dealcoholised using spinning cone technology, the same method used across the Bon Voyage range. The process removes alcohol at low temperatures, which preserves more of the wine's fruit and aromatic character than more aggressive methods. It pours a pale golden colour. The nose is fresh rather than full-on: white peach and papaya up front, with citrus and white flowers behind. On the palate it's light-bodied and clean, with the fruit carrying through to a gentle finish. There's a touch of vanilla in there too, though it stays understated. The overall impression is of a wine that knows what it is: straightforward, well-made, not trying to be anything more than a decent glass of dealcoholised white. At 28 calories per 100ml it sits at the lighter end of the category. Serve it cold.
