Red wine is a harder challenge for dealcoholisation than white: tannins can turn harsh and thin without the alcohol to carry them, and the colour can look more unsettling than a pale imitation. Hardys' Zero Tech X process, which works at cooler temperatures to preserve flavour and body, does a decent job of holding this one together. The Shiraz has berry and spice running through it, with soft tannins and a rounded mouthfeel that avoids the harsh, astringent edge that trips up lesser alcohol-free reds. It's not complex, and the finish is fairly brief, but the balance is solid. A straightforward option if you want something red and dry without the alcohol.
