About This Drink
Radler is a Bavarian and Austrian tradition: beer cut with lemonade, originally a cyclist's drink. Stiegl's raspberry and lemon version takes that idea into non-alcoholic territory, blending their alcohol-free lager with raspberry and lemon juice. The cloudiness is natural, coming from the juice rather than any added turbidity agent. It pours hazy rose-gold, the white head fading quickly. Ripe raspberry leads on the nose, with a sharper lemon note underneath and just enough malt backdrop to remind you there's beer in here. On the palate the raspberry comes through sweet and immediate, then lemon acidity pulls it back before it tips into cordial territory. The carbonation keeps things lively. The finish is clean and tart. It's a simple drink, but it's well-balanced for what it is: something fruit-forward and light that sits between a beer and a soft drink.
