Rosee 0.0
Alcohol-free Belgian wheat beer with raspberry, brewed on the same witbier base as the original with coriander and orange peel still in the recipe.
About This Drink
Hoegaarden Rosee 0.0 is built on the de-alcoholised witbier base with raspberry and fruit juice added. In the glass it's a pale blush pink with a light haze, which at least looks different to the standard 0.0. The nose leads with fresh raspberry and citrus blossom. It's light and pleasant. On the palate, raspberry sweetness is clearly the main event, with the wheat malt providing a quiet backdrop that keeps it from becoming pure fruit cordial. The coriander and orange peel are there if you look for them, sitting quietly underneath. The finish is brief and clean, sweet without bitterness. It sits somewhere between beer and fruit drink. Whether that's appealing or slightly awkward depends on what you're after. As a low-effort, cold drink it does the job without demanding much attention.
