Fizzero Sparkling Rosé
Zero-alcohol sparkling rosé made from Shiraz grape juice via bacterial fermentation, blended with a tea infusion for added depth.
About This Drink
Fizzero Sparkling Rosé takes a different route from most zero-alcohol wines. Rather than dealcoholising an existing wine, De Bortoli ferments Shiraz grape juice using a bacterial process that produces complexity without generating alcohol. The resulting base is then blended with a tea infusion before bottling. In the glass it pours pale pink with a lively fizz. The nose is fruity and citrus-forward. On the palate, grapefruit and green apple come through cleanly, with a faint bittersweet quality from the tea that lifts it above what you'd get from sparkling grape juice alone. It's lighter in body than a traditional sparkling rosé but has enough going on to hold your attention. At 24 calories per 100ml it's at the lower end of the calorie count for sparkling options.
