Easy Peasy is Mikkeller's alcohol-free take on the pilsner, brewed at De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium using the brewery's proprietary mikkellensis yeast. It fills the gap in their non-alcoholic range for a straightforward cold lager without hop-forward complexity or fruit additions. The aroma leads with freshly cut grass and pine resin, with lemon and a touch of peach sitting underneath. On the palate, the bitterness is pilsner-correct: clearly present but not aggressive, underpinned by a smooth cereal backbone. A subtle herbaceous quality from the hops comes through as you work down the can. It's gluten-free, which is worth knowing if that matters to you. Nothing about it is trying too hard. Serve ice-cold and you've got a solid 0.3% lager that doesn't ask you to think about it.
