Electric Mango Bubbaloo is part of Amundsen's Slurpy Series, which is not trying to be subtle about anything. The vivid blue colour is the first thing you clock, sourced from natural colouring and functioning mostly as a statement of intent. The nose is mango and vanilla, sweet and tropical. On the palate there is a light tartness typical of the style, with mango and lemon providing the fruit and vanilla smoothing the edges. It is effervescent and easy to drink, finishing clean and short. This sits at the novelty end of the alcohol-free sour category. Approach it on those terms and it does what it sets out to do. Approach it as a serious sour and you will be disappointed.
